    Dear EE Leaders,

In January a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit by 40 LGBTQ+ individuals against the U.S. Department of Education challenging a provision of Title IX that allows Chirstian schools to seek exemptions from the civil rights law's bar against sex-based discrimination. U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken in Eugene, Oregon, wrote that exempting religious schools from Title IX to avoid interfering with their convictions is "substantially related to the government's objective of accommodating religious exercise." This was a small win.

We have an exciting opportunity for our team of leaders to learn how to advocate for Christian schools. We will learn about religious freedom legal challenges facing Christian schools in this and several key areas. We will also learn to advocate for school choice and equal access to CCBG funds. The first day we will enjoy an opening night gala at the Museum of the Bible. We'll spend the next two days being trained and then go to Capitol Hill to visit our representatives. We want you to know about funding and policies that affect ACSI member schools.

Register today (or before March 17) when the early bird registration ends:  Public Policy and Advocacy Summit Sept 18-20, 2023
